NUMBER 1 NOB HILL
The Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental is a gracious, luxury hotel situated
at the top of Nob Hill. Noted architects pronounced the Mark Hopkins
architecturally perfect when it was built in 1926. The 19-story
hotel is a combination of French chateau and Spanish Renaissance
styles, embellished with elaborate terra cotta ornamentation. The
